Sibacademy maintains a network of students who support our team on a “work on request” basis, primarily researching adverse media in different languages. The students are included in the network and called to work when a specific project that fits their language skills comes up. We are currently seeking to enhance the network with new team members with a variety of language skills: Thai, Burmese, Korean, Arabic. Portuguese and Russian.

The working hours depend on the projects that we have, but shall in any case not exceed the maximum number of working hours allowed by the legal requirements of the work permit. Students should be available for occasional meetings in Zurich but much of the research can be done from home.

• Media research using online and third party research tools
• Researching names in native media publications
• Verifying the work of other researchers
• Supporting us on any other topics that require specific language skills

What we are looking for:

• Native-level speakers of Thai / Burmese / Korean / Arabic / Portuguese / Russian
• Familiarity with native media publications
• Very good English
• University studies with a legal / political / economic / linguistic or other social research element
• Reliable, motivated, flexible and organised
• Able to work alone after instruction
• Ready to help on a “work on request” basis
• Clean background (criminal record check / financial judgement check, etc.)
